Man, Woman Die In Apparent Overdose

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 41-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both of Ogema, Minn., were found dead at a home near Detroit Lakes in what police are calling an apparent overdose.

Emergency personnel responded around 1 a.m. on Sunday to a home in Ogema, which is about 20 miles north of Detroit Lakes. Upon arrival, officials found the man and woman deceased.

Investigators say there is no foul play and the victims appear to have overdosed on prescription drugs — for respective prescriptions.

Autopsies have been ordered for both victims. Investigators — from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, White Earth Tribal Police and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension — are awaiting the results.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details are available at this time.

  • @ super dummy Oby

Guess then the same is to be said for soldiers killed while fighting since they enlisted?
Or for the kids who drivve drunk and kill themselves and maybe others?
Or for the baby who dies inside a mother when she drinks and has a miscarriage?
See – there is a truly difference dummy. Just because one is doing what they may enjoy and love does not mean they intended to die when doing so.
What is population control is when a woman elects to abort and imbecile like you – that is a well thought out and smart method of control. ;-)

  • @Legend dummy

Can you be more clueless, you’re comparing dying from a self inflicted drug choice to serving in the military? Or driving drunk these are selfish acts of risk, not unselfish risks of serving our country.

    • wow

Maybe what was meant was all would be doing something they loved and elected to do – but the end result was not was their action(s) were meant to do/create.
I know it is hard for some of you but try to think outside the little boxes you have for brains. lol

  • Jack

Why are you people so hateful and hurtful? Is it necessary?

  • ObyObyOby

  • Sigmond

No compassion anymore, these are someones children, brothers, sisters. The future is not looking too good without compassion for each other.

  • Callina

    Thank you, Jack and Sigmond!

To the rest of you… anyone who cannot figure out what is involved in treating other people with respect should seek the advice of the nearest grown up.

Seriously! We judge the people in the article, and then judge others after 25 – 50 anonymous words?

Wow… here ends my short foray into the comments sections of this website.

    Have a nice day.

  • Unreal

Some mighty pathetic people live in MN…..talking about the posters and not the deceased.
CD is a mighty nasty road … and not an easy one to walk away from for way to many. For you sick folk with your vile posts about – you really need to hope you never need a hand in any way as it’s apparent there are not many who have empathy and would lend the support and hgand you may need.
Truly disgusting comments…you are pathetic little people
