Authorities: Man Arrested In Connection To Infant's Death

PELICAN RAPIDS (WCCO) -- Police arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to an infant's death in Pelican Rapids, Minn.

According to the Ottertail County Sheriff's Office, Pelican Rapids Police responded to a medical call of an infant not breathing Friday. When they arrived, the infant was taken to a local hospital and then a transported to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the infant passed away.

An investigation determined that the infant had suffered serious injuries.

The Pelican Rapids Police Department has Pedro Larios Mendoza in custody. He is awaiting a court appearance for manslaughter charges, authorities said.
