MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Christian Pedroza caught a scoring pass, kicked a field goal and recovered a fumble, and Rocori hung on to defeat Bemidji 17-10 in the Class 4A state championship game Saturday afternoon.

Sean Terres returned an interception for a touchdown for the Spartans (12-1), who were outgained by 301-111.

Carey Woods had a touchdown reception for the Lumberjacks (12-1), who turned the ball over four times and had a punt blocked. Kyle Fodness kicked a 29-yard field goal.

Bemidji got the ball back with 1:44 remaining after Pedroza missed a 40-yard field goal, but, after three first downs, turned the ball over on downs with 22 seconds to play.

Tied at 7 late in the first half, Terres returned an interception 53 yards for a 14-7 Rocori lead at intermission.
