Man Stun-Gunned During Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man was allegedly beaten and stunned with a stun-gun during a robbery in Waite Park, Minn. Monday night.

Police were called to the 400 block of 7th St. South around 11:30 p.m.

They said the man who called them said he was leaving his apartment for work when he was confronted by three men, one whom he knew.

The men punched, kicked and stunned the victim with a "stun-gun device," police said. Then, the men left with the victim's wallet and other personal items.

Police said the victim's injuries are consistent with stun-gun shock. The man was treated at the scene and didn't need to go to the hospital.

One man, Marcus Chappel, 22, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the crime. He is being held in Stearns County Jail on robbery charges.

Police are still looking for the other suspects and ask anyone with information to call 320-251-6300 or 1-800-255-1301.
