ORONO (WCCO) — For WCCO-TV’s final Community Spotlight award, we went to Schumann Elementary in Orono.

The students there spend part of their fall doing chores at home to raise money for a charity drive at school.

Their money goes to buy and make blankets, activity books, bookmarks and other things for kids in the hospital.

That’s why WCCO-TV is saying thanks with our $500 Community Spotlight award. Sieben, Grose, von Holtum and Carey helped with the award.
