Talking Points: Debate Over Stillwater Bridge Proposal

In the coming weeks, the U.S. Congress is expected to vote on a $700 million four-lane bridge connecting Minnesota and Wisconsin just south of Stillwater. The bridge would replace the 80-year-old Stillwater lift bridge.

But local politicians are expressing fear that the big buck bridge would mean very little money for other projects and is environmentally unsound.
