90-Year-Old Woman Robbed In St. Paul Home

ST. PAUL (WCCO) — Officers are looking for a man who robbed a 90-year-old woman in St. Paul on Friday.

Police said just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 2, a woman called police to her home in the 1100 block of Van Buren on a report of an armed robbery.

She told police a man had entered the home through an unlocked door, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.

She said she cooperated and gave the man a small amount of cash, but he tied her hands and feet before he fled the home.

She was able to free herself around the time a relative arrived at the home and then she called police. She wasn’t injured.

The man wore a ski mask during the incident. He is described as being 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, he had a medium build and appeared to be a “younger” man according to the victim.

St. Paul Police ask anyone with information or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to call 651-266-5650 or 651-291-1111.

You are NOT politically correct by failing to identify the perpetrator as black. You are despicable. You disgust me, CCO. Go pound sand.

    • Settle!!

The reason no one’s (WCCO, KSTP, Pioneer Press, etc,, etc.) reported the guy’s race is ’cause the lady didn’t know.

So was he white, black, Asian, Hispanic, Native American? It is really sad Wcco neglects to include that info.

    • just sayin

yeah, but they’ll describe a bank robber as a white man… geez.

      • Yeah!!

Always picking on the white guy!!

How did wcco neglect to provide a race? Perhaps one wasn’t given by the victim. She said the perp had on a ski mask, she is ninty and was more than likely scared out of her mind! My guess is the guy had gloves on as well.

If we cared one iota, we’d write our representatives and tell them we support keeping violent offenders in a cage, where they belong, the FIRST TIME THEY TURN UP IN THE CRIMINAL JUST-A-SYSTEM. Stop over crowding prisons with non violent offenders. Do it for my grandma.
