Bloomington Police say they've had reports of two similar robberies to the one described at Southdale. According to police, a man with a similar description and similar vehicle, robbed two women in the city this week.

The first occurred around 8 p.m. Monday as a woman was leaving Lunds near Normandale and 98th Street. She said she noticed a car following her as she drove home and stopped to get the mail. She was then approached by a man with a black pistol, matching the description of the Southdale incident except that he also had a white bandage on his nose.

The man demanded the woman's purse and her PIN numbers and told the woman not to call police or he would come back and kill her.

He then took her purse and fled the scene. The purse was later recovered.

Then, before 6 a.m. Thursday, another similar incident occurred as a woman was pulling into a parking lot at the Caribou on Old Shakopee Road and France Avenue. After getting coffee and returning to her vehicle, the woman was approached by a man with a pistol who demanded her purse.

A slight struggle ensued and the victim called for help. At that point, the man kicked the woman to the ground, grabbed her purse and fled in a vehicle.
