MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Zach Lehrke had two goals and an assist as Minnesota State, Mankato beat Alabama-Huntsville 9-1 Saturday for a sweep of a men’s college hockey series.
Lehrke also had a goal in Friday’s 4-2 win by the Mavericks (5-12-1).
Michael Dorr netted two goals and Josh Nelson assisted on two goals for MSUM, which had a 33-23 advantage in shots on goal. Both of Dorr’s goals were short-handed and the Mavericks also scored twice on the power play.
MSUM goalie Austin Lee had 22 saves.
Tom Dumie had the Chargers’ (1-17-1) only goal on the power play.
Goalies Clarke Saunders and John Griggs combined for 24 saves.
