MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It took all of about four hours for what will be the hottest summer ticket in town to get claimed Saturday for the first concert to be held at Target Field.
Country music stars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are coming to Minneapolis on July 8 for an outdoor concert as part of their “Brothers of the Sun” tour. Officials said more than 39,000 tickets sold Saturday morning in four hours.
That was despite a technical glitch online that impeded ticket purchases for several fans.
If you are a fan who was unable to secure a ticket because of online problems, you are encouraged to head to www.twinsbaseball.com/concerts to get a ticket. Officials said a limited number of seats may be released by the concert promoter for sale to the public in the coming months.

I agree what recession? Take a look at those prices! Damn. If i were STRAPPED for $$ I would not buy tickets to a concert knowing that money could be going to a more positive source like Food, shelter. This recession think is being hyped by politicians and the ‘liberal’ media. But then I HATE country music.

just because we are in a recession, doesn’t mean people can’t indulge. I just got back from Vegas, should I not have done that? Get over it
