FARIBAULT, Minn. (WCCO) – The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a car struck a horse that was on the roadway in Rice County early Monday morning.

According to the patrol, the crash happened along Highway 19.

A 2000 Honda Accord that was headed eastbound on the highway struck a horse at about 4 a.m.

The patrol said there was an injury. The status of the horse was not immediately available.
