NEW LONDON, Minn. (WCCO) – Residents of New London, Minn. will have fewer hours of police protection next year.
In a cost-cutting move, the city council voted to reduce the hours.
The city is covered by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office for 20 hours a week from May to September and 15 hours a week in the winter.
The city council approved a move to cut the hours to 10 a week for the entire year.
The move will save the city $12,500.
