MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It appears the Minnesota Twins are running out of time waiting for free agent Michael Cuddyer to make a decision and may be closing in on a deal with outfielder Josh Willingham, who hit 29 home runs with Oakland last year.
Cuddyer now appears headed to the Colorado Rockies. The Twins had a three-year, $25-million offer on the table to Cuddyer but they hadn’t heard much from his agent.
The Twins would end up with a couple of draft picks for losing Cuddyer.
Jason Kubel could also be an odd man out with the Willingham signing but nothing’s confirmed.
