MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The friends and family of a Minnesota veteran seriously injured in a hit-and-run came together Saturday to help the soldier on his long road to recovery.

A driver hit John Byro in late October near Gaylord, Minn. Since the accident, Byro has been in the hospital. Police still don’t know who’s responsible for incident.

Byro’s friends and family held a benefit in his honor at the American Legion and VFW in Madelia.

I think that this is one of the most SHAMEFUL episodes involving Minnesota Veterans in our entire HISTORY. Somebody around here KNOWS what happened.
BUT, this is one of many reasons why I chose not to make the military a career, because I know that there are SO MANY LOWLIFES here in Minnesota, doesn’t matter what color they are, doesn’t matter whether they are rural or urban, all I can say is, when this once great country crumbles into dust, don’t come knocking on my door asking for help, because you probably were amongst those who bashed our military YEAR AFTER YEAR, demand that the feds pay off your illegitimate mortgage or student loans, so GO POUND SAND. I’ve never been so ashamed to be living amongst such a large group of stupid, lazy, cowardly, traitorous, LOSERS in my entire life, and I don’t expect the situation to get any better soon.
