Man Honors WWII Vets By Spending Winter In Foxhole

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Cambridge, Minn., man lost his job as a graphic designer and gained lots of time on his hands.

But as a war re-enactor, Scott Schmitt used that time to get a feeling for what the soldiers of WWII went through.

WCCO-TV photojournalist Dave Wertheimer captured the conditions Schmitt plans to be sleeping in this winter. To see his foxhole, watch the video above.
