The scandal that lead Majority Leader Sen. Amy Koch to step down continues as speculation grows about who the staffer is that she was accused of being involved with.

Immediately after she stepped down, so did the Republican Senate’s communications chief Michael Brodkorb. Brodkorb also abruptly resigned from the congressional campaign of Sen. Mike Parry.

That has lead to more speculation on blogs and on social media about the relationship between Brodkorb and Koch.

  1. Delores says:

So you now report on pure gossip and speculation. What is your point?

    1. dev says:

They have little else to do. Much too many reporters reporting on a limted amount of news.

  2. angus says:

Sounds like Delores is a conservative and upset when the conservative heros are caught. It was ok when they could go after a liberal when one of them was caught at hanky panky.

The Republicans said they wanted everything in the open and clear with the public. They could end the speculation and gossip if they just told us who and what. However, they are dancing again

      @ angus

That is so true! Conservatives like to believe that they have higher “morals and values” and “family values” than anybody else because of who they are, but yet they always turn out be the worst offenders. They believe they have every right to police you in your bedroom but don’t you dare police them in their bedrooms. They are the biggest hyprocrits. And when they do get caught they claim it is a witchhunt. If Conservatives don’t like to held to such high standards than the rest of us then they should quit preaching to rest of us!

      1. Glad to make you feel better! says:

@Tom … posters like you that use exaggerated terms as “always, biggest, worst, etc., etc.” and stereotype the actions of a few as if all conservatives are alike just show forth your ignorance. “They believe they have the right to police you in your bedroom” … since when? Defending marriage between a man and a woman has nothing to do with policing you in your bedroom! Your right to do whom ever you want (except a minor) in your bedroom hasn’t changed. Who is preaching your admittedly lower standards to the rest of us now? Do you think gays have the right to preach to us how we have to accept their lifestyle, teach their lifestyle in schools, etc.? There is a big difference in accepting one as a person and accepting ones behavior! I don’t condone adutlry either. A hyprocrit can always find someone else to call a “bigger” hypocrit to make themself feel better. Glad you feel better now.

    2. Raoul Duke says:

The truth is even more twisted and weird. Brodkorp was chosen as a faithful party member to take the fall. Koch was actually involved in a series of torrid affairs with several FEMALE staffers. By accepting responsibilty as the culprit, Brodkorp says the GOP from an even more damaging and lurid scandal. Word has it that the statehouse senate chambers were like a Minneapolis fire house Christmas party.

      1. jackactionhero says:

I don’t believe for a second that Mike Brodkorb would voluntarily cut his own political throat.

        Not for one second.

I’ve only known Mike Brodkorb for 32 years though, so what do I know?

  3. Floater says:

Those randy Republicans. They want to sneak a peak (and have a say) at what others are doing in their bedrooms but then want everyone else to stay out of theirs. You can’t have it both ways you cheeky monkeys!

  4. ron paul for president says:

    oh oh… party of morals… hahahahahahaha…

  5. OMG! says:

Oh, imagine that billion puonder koch uncovered….the HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Murph says:

I wonder how many drinks the male performer had to have to enter into this relationship? Maybe he really is blind? If so, I’m terribly sorry for this post!

    1. jackactionhero says:

You wouldn’t take a run at Amy K at bar closing time? Come on. She’s worth a peek. You wouldn’t take a look under her FUPA? LOL

  7. getreal says:

A Republican Sex Scandal! OH NO, IT CAN’T BE TRUE! THE PARTY OF FAMILY VALUES AND RELIGIOUS VALUES! I know what will make this scandal get brushed under the rug!! Call it gossip and speculation; get mad at the reporters for reporting it, blame it on those horrible liberals…….wait a minute………I think those sinful liberals are behind this outlandish sex humiliation, yeah, lets blame the democrats.

  8. Murph says:

No wonder nothing gets done when the GOP has the power! They are too busy doing to each other what they are trying to do to us! In conclusion, there won’t be any Republican President for a long.looooong time to come! They are so full of the bull and doing naughty things with our shrinking carrot.I think the pole has been already exposed as well! According to the fine upstanding christian hypocrit party of Minnesota! In trying to pervert the Constitution they kinda rubbed each other the wrong way! Perverts!
