  • huh?

    What a boring change!
Couldn’t they come up with anything better?

    • Swamp Rat

  • Lame

lame, a country station that plays the exact same things as another, so original… NOT.

  • Swamp Rat

What happened to the Christmas/Holiday Music? Couldn’t this change wait until after the 1st of January? Somebody goofed at CBS Radio.

  • My my

    Well, aren’t you smart.

  • keel

shame…I always enjoyed LITE FM when I was in the car…and especially the Christmas music…oh well. Now we can enjoy the “best in country music, culture and community”! LOL! Can’t wait for that good old country culture from Arkansas!

    • jackactionhero

Name a country act from Arkansas.

Name a country song that MENTIONS Arkansas.

      • Bill

In spirit, ALL country acts and ALL country songs are from Arkansas…

  • Stinks

That’s one more station I can remove from my presets. The last thing this market needs is another country station.

    • jackactionhero

I’m looking forward to it. I love new country music. Looks like you’ll be turning the dial one way, and I’ll be turning it the other.

That doesn’t make your opinion the more valuable one.

  • Ethel Merman

The last thing the twin cities needs is another country station. I miss listening to KBCO out of Boulder. Can’t 102.9 just play the Christmas tunes all year? How nice it would be when stuck on 494 in May to tune into Bing Crosby or Nat King Cole.

    • jackactionhero

Nobody wants to listen to Christmas carols all year long. NOBODY.

      • Bill

It would be a whole lot better than adding another country station to this market…

  • KG

Oh yay! Yet another station to play Taylor Swift music. Just what we need. :( Radio in the Twin Cities stinks.

  • Mamaloo

I always liked WLTE and listened to it often. But I won’t be listening any more, once the country music station takes over.

  • Rock on

YUCK!! Country bumpkin is for shatbags.

  • Reailty

A classic Hip Hop R&B station that plays hits from the 80’s,90’s and the early 2000’s would have been cool. Instead the corporations are playing corporation games. It wasn’t like WLTE wasn’t playing Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and the rest on a regular basis anyways.

    • jackactionhero

Classic hip hop R&B?? Catering to who exactly? You? It sounds like you want the music catered to you, and your generation. Wouldn’t that be an ideal situation, right?

  • GX

WCCO needs a good FM signal far, FAR more than the Twin Cities needs another country “music” station.

WCCO has its quirks, but it’d be far more enjoyable if we could get something besides static during thunderstorms, near anything electrical, or after dark.

So please, Good Neighbor, when the country venture bombs, get your FM simulcast going on 102.9 already (only about 60 years late).

  • Pate

Well, they just lost another listener.I’m staying with The Current from now on.

  • Exp

Wow, just what the Twin cities doesn’t need: another Country station.

To make it worse, they give it a name like Buz’n, which evokes images of liquored up country folks cruisin in their trucks with the shotgun in the back window.

Just what country music doesn’t need.

  • Swamp Rat

We don’t need another “country” station in town. We could have used an FM simulcast with WCCO-am or used a more upbeat ‘adult contemporary’ format like the Cleveland CBS WDOK 102.1 station which reaches a diverse audience with contemporary adult music and style. But, changin’ to the BUZ’n@102.9 sounds a bit much for the Twin Towns metro. This is the 21st Century and we need a ‘kool’ adult contemporary station to match. WDOK in Ohio does just that without the country “korn”!

  • Karlie Carlson

Been Listening to WLTE for 20 years. We have enough country. I won’t be listening anymore and now what? It really sucks!!!!!

  • Debra Lynn

How about some air-time for “Grandpa’s Recipe for Life” by country musician Charlie Allen? http://www.charlieallenmusic.com/index.htm

  • Bill

Will anyone be playing Christmas music next December? Kool 108 stopped, and now WLTE is going away entirely. Who’s left to play the sounds of the season.

And no, if this new station plays Christmas music next year, but it’s country Christmas music, that doesn’t count. A lot of us like to hear our Christmas music with banjo twang.

  • cat

I won’t be listening to this new station. I liked WLTE and love the Christmas music. Who will play that now. Will miss WLTE

  • Howard

This sucks!! Where is the Lite FM? Country music? Are you freaking kidding me? Don’t we have enough country music in MN? I can’t even listen to this for more than 3 minutes…who is the one made this decision? SHAME on you!

  • Emmett

Truly; the loss of WLTE is a sad sad day for longtime Twin Cities listeners ! I’ve listened to (WCCO-FM) for over 35 years! I just can’t bring myself to listening to country music. Ive tried ; but cant take more than a few minutes befoire i have to change the channel. Sorry–no cow-pie tunes for me.

Good-bye old friend! it was a fantastic ride for over 35 years! You will be greatly missed!

  • Michelle

I really miss Lite FM. We have enough country on the dial. The new WLTE really sucks. I won’t be listening to this station anymore. Bad decision on my opinion!

  • Verna A Kellen

i love the new buzzing 102.5 . any thing is better then the rap music i hear . and most rap music really does suck . the sworing putting down women . most of rap music i have ever heard . i love country music always have and classic

  • Banjers

Those that put country music down or call it cow-pie tunes, have never really listened to the lyrics and I am sure you did not enjoy every single song you ever heard on 102.9, so why assume you should like every single country song? You need to listen to more than one line. You sound like a bunch of four year old children that won’t try your dinner!
There are only two country stations in the twin cities now! Go up north or down south in MN, almost every single station is country! Must b e a reason!
Also, if you are such big Bing Crosby/Nat King Cole, etc. fans, do what I do, and listen to your collection of CDs of them or James Taylor, Bette Middler, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, and so on….
