FBI: 'Man In Black' Responsible For Another Armed Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis FBI believes the serial robber, nicknamed "the man in black," stuck again in Minneapolis Tuesday afternoon.

According to the FBI, the robber entered the Franklin Bank, located at 1527 East Lake Street in Minneapolis, at 1:45 p.m. While inside, he approached the teller with a handgun and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank.

The robber is described as a white male in his mid-30s, 6-feet-tall and with a medium build. He wore a black mask, a khaki jacket, a grey cap, black gloves and blue jeans.

The FBI think 'the man in black' is responsible for more than six robberies since late October. They added that bank robberies for the year would be down in Minnesota if not for the serial robber.

The FBI is looking into whether the serial robber is to blame for bank robberies prior to the string that began two months ago.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is requested to contact the FBI at 612-376-3200. There is $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robber.
