Police: Store Supervisor Stole Nearly $4,500 From Till

HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A West St. Paul store supervisor is charged with stealing nearly $4,500 from the store's cash registers.

According to the criminal complaint, 27-year-old Christina Perron was caught on surveillance video hiding a bag containing cash from the store's registers.

Police were alerted to the theft on Dec. 19 and met by an asset protection coordinator, who claimed that Perron had stolen from the store on multiple occasions.

The asset protection coordinator confronted Perron, who confessed to stealing from the store. She said she thought her thefts had added up to about $2,000, but investigation revealed she had taken almost $4,500.

Perron was taken into custody and is now charged with one felony count of theft.
