ST. PAUL (WCCO) — A driver is OK after falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing the vehicle in St. Paul.

Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, a man was driving a SUV on Como Avenue in St. Paul.

The driver fell asleep near the intersection of Fifield St. and hit a tree, then a sign, and then rolled over in middle of the road.

The man was able to walk away from this accident and no one else was hurt.

Police do not believe alcohol was involved.

    Nappy time, nighty night.

  • Wowsie

Why is this news? My brother fell asleep behind the wheel with a freind as a passenger and the car rolled 4 times. They were both fine but it sure didn’t make the news. Slow news day I guess.

  • Zzzzzzzzzzz…..

Fatigued driving can, at times, be even worse and more debilitating than drunk driving. The problem is there is no test to determine how tired a driver is. If you’re tired, stay home, or crash where you are for at least 2 hours before getting behind the wheel.
