MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 69-year-old Pequot Lakes man was sentenced to two years in prison on Friday for violating predatory offender requirements and burglary going back to incidents from May 5 to May 27 of 2010.
Robert Arthur Litzau will get credit for time served and will also have imposed on him a 10-year conditional release period. If he doesn’t comply with the terms of that release, he would go back to jail for up to five years because he is a Level 3 sex offender.
Litzau was convicted of two felony counts on Oct. 27. He has a history of inappropriate sexual contact with boys 14 and 15 years old. At the time of his arrest, there were multiple reports out that he had been seen on church property talking to young boys about building a cabin in the woods, according to a criminal complaint.
Litzau also allegedly assaulted a police officer at the time of his arrest.
