MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota State Patrol released crash totals overnight from 6 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.
According to the State Patrol, there were 88 crashes statewide, with 16 reporting injuries but no fatal crashes.
There were 138 vehicles that went off the road or spun out.
The State Patrol also said 20 people were arrested statewide for DWI on New Year’s Day.
Fifty-four of those New Year’s Day crashes occurred in the metro area with 11 reporting injuries, 68 vehicles off the road or spin outs and nine drivers arrested for suspected DWI in the Twin Cities area.
The State Patrol said one squad car was also hit at a crash scene by a suspected drunk driver.
