Police: Man Broke Gas Station Door With Log, Took Cigs

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Officers are looking for a man who burglarized a gas station in Minneapolis.

Police said it happened sometime between 10 p.m. on Dec. 25 and 5 a.m. on Dec. 26 in the store located in the 5800 block of Nicollet Ave. South.

He entered the store using a log to break a glass door and took a large quantity of cigarettes before leaving, police said.

The man was caught on surveillance tape. He is described as being a black man between 20-30 years old. He had a heavier build and was wearing a dark-colored zip up jacket over a dark colored hoodie. He was also wearing medium colored pants and dark gloves.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call Sgt. James Jensen at 612-673-5587.
