Search For Missing Man Takes To Facebook, Twitter

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is involved in the search for a missing Twin Cities man whose disappearance has already drawn a big reaction online.

Forty-seven-year-old Todd Tweedy, described as a social media consultant, left an ominous message on his own Facebook page on Tuesday night.

He wrote about his depression and said goodbye. Since then, he's had nearly 200 supportive messages, mostly from strangers.

His family hopes this social media response on Facebook and Twitter will help lead to his safe return. They have even set up a hashtag to assist in the efforts: #FindTodd.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension described Tweedy as 6 feet, 3 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. The BCA said Tweedy may be driving a red Volkswagen Passat with the license place 545 BLM.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact St. Paul Police at 651-266-5612.
