Man Killed In Goodhue County Crash Identified
HAYCREEK, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified the person killed in a head-on crash in Goodhue County.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 58 in Haycreek.
According to the State Patrol, a car tried to cut between two other vehicles and slid on the wet pavement into oncoming traffic. The car was broadsided by a pick-up truck.
Ninteen-year-old Thomas Starr, the driver of the car, was killed.
The State Patrol said two passengers were flown to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. One was identified as 19-year-old Santiago Jimenez; his condition was not released. The other passenger was not identified, but was reported to be in critical condition.
The pick-up truck driver was taken by ambulance to Fairview Hospital in Red Wing with non-life threatening injuries.
