Missing Social Media Expert Found In Wis.

ST. PAUL (WCCO) — A social media expert whose disappearance on Tuesday had a lot of people worried has been found in Wisconsin.

Forty-seven-year-old Todd Tweedy, a father of three, left an ominous message on his own Facebook page on Tuesday night.

Todd Tweedy wrote on his Facebook page: “One illness I’ve never been able to defeat is my own depression… I have to say goodbye now, I wish each of you a wonderful New Year.”

The post prompted hundreds of responses on Facebook and Twitter, from friends and strangers.

Tweedy was found in Baldwin, Wisconsin on Wednesday night. Friends say he is being treated at Regions Hospital.

His family released a statement on Thursday, saying: “Thank you for your prayers and support.  We are grateful that treatment is available, and we hope that this can help give others the confidence to ask for help. Treatment works.”

  • Depressing

Let’s call a spade a spade-he may battle depression but he IS mentally ill.
What a game of charades …… hope he has 6-12 months inside somewhere getting help. Best of wishes to the family

and this matters to you… WHY???

Butt out and take care of your own.

      • Slim

        Sorry… We missed your point.

  • or weird ?

Sad deal – hope to hell it is actually an illness and not a way to promote oneself – when I read “social network expert” I wonder.
Wonder if he “gets” how worked up he got a load of people or all part of a greater ploy????

  • just sayin

  • Who Writes This Stuff

Good luck to him on his recovery.

@WCCO: Once again, journalism 101 fails your reporters….
    Headline says “Social Media Expert….”
yet, NOWHERE in the article do you mention WHY or WHAT he did to be the so-called “expert” on social media.

Only social media mentioned to him is Facebook. If that is the criteria, then my 15 yo daughter is a super-duper Expert-Goddess.

    C’mon people…. Journalism 101: Five W’s and an H.
Murrow would be rolling in his grave!

Also notice his pic/card with more media refs…
        ie: @audiencemachine, wrote a media book, etc…
Please be more observant before cracking!!

        • The Editor

          He’s being treated? For what?

          Terrible reporting.

          • Chuck

Why the curiousity? Why ask more Q’s? You perplex me, so I will stop now.

Bob, what is your point? Why is one “sick” to be hanging out in Wisconsin..? What state are you from? If from Minnesota what is so special about that state. I have lived in Minnesota and now live in Wisconsin so I can comment about each state. I have also paid taxes in both states.
