Target Recalls Flashlights Over Burn Hazard

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Target stores are recalling an LED flashlight set after two customers reported receiving minor burns using them.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, four incidents have been reported concerning the 6-pc. LED flashlight sets imported by Target Corporation. They are exclusive to Target stores, according to the CPSC.

The flashlights are made with silver plastic cases surrounded by black rubber. They carry the UPC code #490021010049.

The watchdog group stressed the flashlights can heat up, smoke or melt when turned on.

Anyone who has bought these flashlights is urged to take them back to Target for a full refund. For additional information, contact Target at 1-800-440-0680.
