Hockey Day To Be Dedicated To Jablonski Family

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- This year's Hockey Day Minnesota will be dedicated to the family of Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player paralyzed in a game last month.

The Minnesota Wild, FOX Sports North and Wells Fargo will host an all-day telethon as part of Hockey Day Minnesota, raising money for the Jack Jablonski Trust Fund. The telethon begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21. Operators will be standing by at Xcel Energy Center to take donations.

In addition, there will be an online auction including lunch with Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher and coach Mike Yeo, with proceeds going to the Jablonski family.

Jablonski was injured Dec. 30 when he was checked from behind during a junior varsity game against Wayzata. He remained in serious but stable condition Tuesday at HCMC.
