Wis. Democrats Still Searching For Walker Opponent

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Supporters of a push to oust Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker from office are prepared to declare victory in their effort to force the Republican into a recall election.

But a problem looms for Democrats. They still don’t know who will run against him.

Recall organizers say they’ve gathered far more signatures than needed to force the election against Walker. They’ll submit their petitions Tuesday.

Walker has meanwhile dominated the state’s airwaves with ads defending his agenda, including Wisconsin’s divisive union rights law. He’s also crisscrossed the country raising millions of campaign dollars.

Democrats and union leaders still insist they’re not concerned about not having someone running against Walker just yet. They say they’ve been happy to force him to defend his record rather than run against an announced Democratic candidate.

Love how WCCO puts up the funniest picture they can of one of the greatest governors ever to take office.. I’m still trying to figure out what side they are on… Lousy Democrats

    • Bruce Wayne

yep, WCCO is so far left leaning it’s not even funny, so much for un-biased news

Claiming a victory with no one running? Leave it to the dems and their adoring media to be that stupid. If only we could have Walker as our Governor.

We think the government should buy all the stock of Wal-Mart and make it a government union business.
All the workers could get Public Government Union wages, benefits and life time pensions.
This would also make the Public Government Unions much stronger and have more people to
vote in the politicians who would help them the most. We could keep prices very low
as tax money would be used to subsidize everything. There is no reason that Public Government
Unions employees would not support this idea. It would be better for the Wal-Mart
workers “Workers Rights” as unions like to say. So I am asking all Government
Union employees to show your support for this idea and write your congressman now!
You have NO reasons not to do this now. You have no reason not to be all for this
great “say yes to workers rights!”. idea …or do you really not support workers rights?
And we do not want a private union, WE WANT A GOVERNMENT PUBLIC UNION!!!

Why dont they go to the occupy WI camp and pick one of the left wing casterated liberals there? Someone who wants to change the world….who hates banks and wall street…you know the ones that gave obami more money than any other candidate…….watch Europe and see your future….

  • Richard

Leave it to the dems they have the blind leading the blind

  • God bless the system and the president

Seems to me, first you get an official recall, then you decide who will run for the office. First things first. It figures this is an AP story, the Repug a–holes. I notice the story does not carry a by-line, interesting! Could have been written by carl rove.

    • The Infidel

How many times are you going to post this drivel, under different screen names to try to get people to by into your Liberal BS? No wonder this country is in a tailspin.

Oops.. didn’t think that one through…… are the Dems going to run the goveners office the same way?

  • GN

I volunteer Dayton, falls right in line with with a politician that is easily purchased by the unions.

  • Nobody

Truth be told, nobody would be better than Walker!

  • Dan

Maybe, just maybe, they haven’t found someone that is brave enough, or dumb enough to run against the will of the people??
Walker won on his platform, right??
Getting a handful of signatures?? Fairly easy, going to the “left” places. :~)
All those signatures, most likely, still does NOT represent the majority.

  • mark

WCCO why do you need to purchase the AP story when this story is right next door? Wow, Dave Moore is turning over in his grave!!

I had one of my comments deleted and they weren’t any worse than these telling how cco is liberal. Those teachers, on average, make over $100,000 with benefits per year and they were crying because they couldn’t have more. We are in an economic downturn and it was completely responsible of Walker to reign in spending which includes not giving the teachers even more than they already have. Teachers are important, we could all agree, but when the state’s going through hard times what else is a responsible governor supposed to do? This is all about the liberals trying to push their way or no way.

  • Bubba

Even money there will be a political shift next Nov., may no new governor but, reps and sens. will have a a shake up. Yeah, CCO is liberal, that’s why they ran non stop stories on Bachmann during her ill fated run.

If it was not for the unions do you think any of us would have healthcare, pensions, vacation time, raises through our jobs? Unions are what have set the standard for business. You get rid of the unions and we all are going to be in trouble. I don’t not know of any teacher making $100,000 a year If that is true please show me. Republicans want to get rid of all the teahers, fire fighters, police officers and privatice all of it, you let that happen with no Gov. regulatiuons and we are all going to be in trouble.
