Ridnour Quietly Off To Impressive Start For Wolves

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love get all the headlines in Minnesota, and that's just fine with Luke Ridnour.

Ridnour prefers to be out of the spotlight, and he is quietly putting together the best start of his career to give the Timberwolves the steady, veteran presence they've sorely lacked.

Ridnour is averaging career highs in scoring and shooting percentage through the first 13 games. He has made the transition from point guard to shooting guard to make room for Rubio in the starting lineup and hasn't missed a beat.

Ridnour says it reminds him of when he played alongside Brandon Jennings in Milwaukee. After scoring 25 points in a win over Sacramento on Monday, Ridnour is averaging 12.9 points and shooting 52 percent from the field.
