MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three men were arrested on Friday following a large drug bust in Sauk Rapids, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies observed a speeding vehicle at about 3:40 p.m. that day in the city of Sauk Rapids that also had its tabs expired. When authorities stopped the car, they detected an odor of marijuana.

An investigation revealed about 1.5 ounces of marijuana in one of the suspect’s jackets, along with a holster for a handgun. That suspect was later identified as 22-year-old Trevor Burton of Sartell.

Two other men were removed from the vehicle while police continued to search the car for drugs and weapons. A loaded .45-caliber handgun was removed from the vehicle, authorities said.

Two of the suspects, identified as 25-year-old Barry Lambertson of Oak Park and 18-year-old Alex McCarty of Sartell, had in their possession methamphetamine that was valued at more than $2,200. Investigators also seized more than $2,000 in cash during the investigation.

All three were arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail. During questioning, one of the suspects told police about a car in the area that had more drugs inside. When authorities located the vehicle, they discovered about $10,000 worth of high grade marijuana, $1,200 worth of methamphetamine, 50 doses of suspected LSD and 12 prescription pills.

Wow, thats why you never tell cops anything when they arrest you, the guy gave up the info. and the police could have kept that part quiet but no, they go on record as saying a snitch informed them. Basicly just got 1 of them killed, Sauk has quite the sharp police force

So what? They are DOPE DEALERS. Might as well give up their supplier’s name and address, if they want to stay out of jail. They are looking at some HUGE charges as it is. That’s funny, speeding in a car with expired tabs. No wonder they call it DOPE.

Will you ever make a non-clueless comment? Obviously you rat to try to get a lighter semtence, but a intelligent PD wouldn’t disclose you snitched, it just deters others from doing the same.

I knew it wasn’t just marijuana. It’s not a violent oriented drug unless you’re in a Cartel. HA! in which case you are defending the gardens in our US National Forests.

Sensible drug laws are so needed. Get rid of Prohibition as we know it. Nothing will change until we change the laws. Guns are just a part of the black market.

    Otherwise, foolishness speaks for itself.

Never talk to the cops when you get arrested. their sole job is to make the case against you. they will and do lie to you. keep your mouth shut and lawyer up. Use your right to remain silent.
