MOA Adds Caiman Crocodiles To Sea Life Aquarium

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A pair of Caiman Crocodiles are joining the Sea Life Aquarium out at Mall of America Wednesday.

The crocodiles will be part of the aquarium’s new exhibit called “Mysteries of the Rainforest.” That’s replacing the “Minnesota Woods” exhibit.

“Mysteries of the Rainforest” opens in the spring.

Caiman Crocodiles can live up to 50 years and can grow to four-feet long.

They spend most of their time hiding and floating in vegetation.

Sorry folks, but there is no such species as “Caiman Crocodiles”. Caimans and crocodiles are two separate groups.
Perhaps they are Spectacled caimans- photos would be nice.

  2. Sarah Anderson says:

Are they going to be on display before the new exhibit opens?
