HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) – Investigators say a 36-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated over the weekend had a role in a fatal criminal vehicular operation case in the 1990s.

According to a criminal complaint, Mark Allen Fedderly was stopped in Rosemount after an officer observed his car weaving back and forth and stopping in the middle of the road.

The officer who pulled him over said Fedderly was having difficulty concentrating. He admitted to the officer that he had eight 16-ounce beers earlier in the evening.

Fedderly failed a preliminary breath test, the charges state.

He has been charged with first-degree driving while impaired.

According to the complaint, Fedderly has on his criminal history an adjudication for a fatal criminal vehicular operation case which reached settlement in August 1993.

  • 1993 …. say what

1993 …. hmmm. They should have popped me once and for all waaaay back then. I read that to mean he likely killed someone on the roads then too – well, a fatality one time is enough.
    Fry the SOB

…and he didn’t learn after killing someone…shoot ‘im

    • Don’t_Know

      shoot ‘em… not shoot ‘im.
“‘im” means I am, did you mean “shoot i am”?

  • Bad Press

Back in 1993…this man would have been 17 and it says that when it was settled in ’93 so it was probably well before that. I guess I don’t think it’s fair the the press brings up something that happened when he was a minor.

    • TL

I guess it shows relevancy to his current DUI charge…since he was DUI at 17… AND KILLED SOMEONE in ’93…..and subsequently given a second chance. Most people would have thought he learned something from that tragedy….unfornate thats not the case.

    • bad press??????????????

He killed somebody. Are you thinking its okay to kill while driving illegally while underage and drunk? Was he ten at the time? Where’s your logic? Oh. I know, its in a bottle.

  • Cheers

The charge was erased from his record thats what jud. means, so he started over, slap his wrist and let him go no big deal.

    • ahhh shucks

      ain’t that cool.
thin’ his sister is Amy ??????

  • relief

Man what a relief, he was only drinking and driving. When I read the headlines I thought he had been operating a loom as well. That would have been incredibly dangerous.

I miss wild wild Rosemount being up here in Northern Wisconsin now. Rosemount, where peolpe get run down drunk drivers in there SUV’s after leaving Shennanigans.
