Police Investigating Robbery Of Mpls. Bruegger's Store

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a man walked into a Minneapolis Bruegger's Bagels store with a gun and committed an armed robbery Thursday morning, according to police.

Authorities said the incident happened at 7:15 a.m. at the Bruegger's Bagels store that's on 50th Street and Penn Avenue. The suspect pulled a gun and ordered a store employee to open the cash register.

The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Police said it's the second armed robbery of a business in the area in the past month. The Paper Hat on the 2300 block of 50th Street West was robbed on Christmas Eve. Police said they don't believe the same suspect committed both robberies.

Anyone with information about the most recent incident is asked to call Minneapolis Police.
