Officer Involved In Accident In North Metro

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s been a rough day already on many Twin Cities metro area roads, and even police officers are included in that loop.

Anoka County Dispatch confirmed that an accident involved a police officer late Friday morning near the intersection of Highway 10 and Foley Boulevard in Coon Rapids. Authorities would not specify what department the officer was from or how many vehicles were involved in the accident.

Anoka County Dispatch said the officer needed to be extricated from the vehicle. The extent of the officer’s injuries are not known at this time.

      Yeah you are right, he should know better than to try to hurry up and get to an accident to try to save a life and prevent further property and human damage.       actually you are incorrect, he was merging onto hwy 10 eastbound at appx. 1030am when his two wheel drive Dodge pickup slid out of control and hit the left rear of a semi trailer that was traveling in the right lane.
