MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – You can take the weekend to forget about the cold weather and daydream about a nice sunny day on the lake. The 40th Annual Minneapolis Boat Show is underway.
The three-day event is hosted at the Minneapolis Convention Center and offers a few new features as well as the favorite exhibits.
This year’s show is 25-percent larger in part due to the Flow Rider. It’s a man-made wave where riders can stand on a board and try to surf.

There are also chances for boat owners to learn how to take care of their boat at home with free Do-It-Yourself seminars at Fred’s Shed.
Vintage boats are back this year, featuring one that is more than 100-years-old.
Admission to the Progressive Minneapolis Boat Show is $10 for adults and free for kids.
