MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A favorite lunch spot in downtown Minneapolis earned a nod in U.S. News and World Report, which ranked it among the country’s “most creative” food trucks.
The big red food truck, Chef Shack, was featured under “Organic Originals” in the “America’s Funkiest Food Truck Cuisine” report, next to shout-outs for food trucks from Milwaukee, New York and Los Angeles.
The editors of the article said they scoured the nation, looking for the best and most unique food truck menus before deciding on their select few.
Chef Shack was recognized for its somewhat random menu (beef tongue tacos and Indian-spiced mini donuts) and for its local ties — all of the ingredients originate from local family farms and co-ops.
