We only picked up 1.9 inches of snow in Minneapolis, but that was enough to make the morning commute Monday an extended one.
There were parts of the metro that added a fresh 2-4 inches of snow. Now we will take a break and focus on the temperature. We will not have a cold snap like last week. Instead you can expect a warming trend. We will warm to the low-30s by Wednesday and Thursday.
The combination of warmer air and sunshine will melt away most of the snow from the roads and sidewalks, but it should have little effect on the snow in your yard. We may see a bit of snow on Friday, but at this point it doesn’t look like much. Things cool down behind that system setting the stage for a cooler weekend.
