Just 4 You Winner: Dad Makes Time For Family, Community

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Each week, WCCO This Morning is rewarding a hard-working, dedicated parent who loves what they do.

This week's Just 4 You Parents winner has time to do it all.

Brian Berg works at CU Companies in New Brighton, Minn. While holding down his career, Berg is also a dad, husband, coach and volunteer.

"I can't imagine a better dad," said his wife Shawna Berg, who nominated him. "I think he is such a good example for our kids and he's just doing such great things for our family and our community and I think that just deserves recognition."

The Bergs are truly a parenting team. They help out at their church, volunteer, and Brian Berg coaches his son's hockey and baseball teams. It takes a lot of coordinating to make it work they say.

He even sits on the board of Families Moving Forward, which serves homeless families. The Bergs also make it a priority to sit down as a family every night for dinner.

"One thing we try to do is 'highs and lows' of each day," said Brian Berg. "Thing that probably wouldn't hear of in normal conversation."

To show its appreciation, WCCO gave the Brooklyn Park family four tickets to a Minnesota Wild game.
