License Your Pet With City And Save On $$$ And Stress
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you love your pet, the City of Minneapolis has an incentive that could save you money and stress.
If you license your pet with the city, authorities will notify you if it gets loose and ends up in the hands of the state.
Pet owner Dodd Demas says having a licensed pet is a big help with they end up lost.
"When they're gone, you worry about them, and it was really unsettling," he said. "But we got him back because he was licensed."
The city has also launched the "I Love My Pet" program, which offers discounts to pet owners at shops, restaurants and other businesses, like Surdyk's and Bibelot.
Pet Licenses fees are $25, and they do need to be renewed every year.
