Former Twins manager Tom Kelly was surprised by the club at their Diamond Awards banquet Thursday night.  President Dave St Peter announced at the end of the program that the team would honor Kelly in September, and retire his uniform number 10.

T K told Dave Lee on the WCCO Morning News that it was an ‘ambush’, which was his term for a shocking surprise.  Kelly says he was thrilled  by the announcement and grateful to receive the honor.
