Wheelchair Hockey Trailer Stolen In Shakopee

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota nonprofit that sponsors wheelchair hockey is asking for help in finding a stolen equipment trailer.

The Minnesota PowerHockey League says the trailer was stolen this week from a location in Shakopee, where it is parked during the winter.

The equipment was found dumped on a road outside of Wayzata High School. Some of the equipment was recovered by high school staff, but some of it was damaged by cars running over it.

The hockey equipment is for people who use a power wheelchair in daily life.

The stolen trailer is valued at $3,000. It has a blue PowerHockey logo on both sides.

It's the second trailer stolen from PowerHockey in four years. The group also is seeking donations to cover missing or damaged equipment.
