SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Four people have died in two separate crashes, one in Wisconsin’s northwest corner and the other near the Illinois border.
Both crashes happened Friday afternoon, and each claimed two lives.
The first happened in Douglas County about 5 p.m. when a northbound vehicle crossed the center line in the Village of Superior and was struck by a southbound vehicle. A Duluth News Tribune report says the driver and passenger in the first vehicle, both from Superior, were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a WISC-TV report, a second crash occurred about 20 minutes later near Juda in Green County. Investigators say a Walworth County man was driving in the wrong lane and slammed into a pickup truck. Both drivers were killed.
