JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — Rock County authorities have arrested a Whitewater man on a tentative charge of fourth-offense drunken driving after deputies say they found him asleep in his car with the engine still running.
The sheriff’s office received a call Saturday about 3:20 a.m. of a vehicle that had run off the road. Deputies say they found the 26-year-old sleeping in the back seat.
Deputies say the man’s speech was slurred and he smelled of alcohol. After the man refused field-sobriety tests he was arrested and taken to the Rock County jail, where he was being held on a probationary hold.
