JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — Rock County authorities have arrested a Whitewater man on a tentative charge of fourth-offense drunken driving after deputies say they found him asleep in his car with the engine still running.

The sheriff’s office received a call Saturday about 3:20 a.m. of a vehicle that had run off the road. Deputies say they found the 26-year-old sleeping in the back seat.

Deputies say the man’s speech was slurred and he smelled of alcohol. After the man refused field-sobriety tests he was arrested and taken to the Rock County jail, where he was being held on a probationary hold.

Poor dude ….bet he was born in MN and had that drunken gene pool, moves to WI and doubles down on it….presto!
Mucho OWIs – DUIs – DWIs and the poor bugger is only 26.
What’s the record? Does he have a shot the his current rate? Do we cheer the moron on?
    cheers

Why do they keep changing the letters?, DWI, DUI, OUI, ETC…, Don’t they all mean the same thing???

    • kate

Depends on the state and what they use. Do try to keep up.

      • teabaghater

        why who cares

    • Brian

It just depends on how the state words the statute. MN statute reads “driving while impaired” while WI statute is “operating while impaired”

  • Crazy Joe

How is this news worthy? This describes most of that states inhabitants.

he must have all drunks live in wisconsin

  • Ed Guttman

    So what

    So what?

  • Enough said

So what? It’s Wisconsin. Give him a placed to sleep it off and give him a drink in the morning and send him on his way. Like I said “It’s Wisconsin.”

    • @ Enough Said

I mean dude for sure…..in MN we don’t even require you to sleep it off but say “on your way and be careful now”
I was born here, lived in WI for 10 years and back here for better than 30.
I’ll wager on any given day – night – anyhour we have more drunks on the roads than WI.
I kind of chuckle at all the cracks taken at WI as I think it makes us feel better about the problem here. It’s called diversion.
26 years now of sobriety and damn proud of it.
