HUDSON, Wis. (WCCO) – Police say they have closed an investigation into an apparent abduction attempt, saying it was all a “misunderstanding.”

Detectives investigating the matter, which was reported on the 900 block of Grandview Drive on Thursday.

They said interviews with three other students, as well as the 11-year-old girl who reported the incident, revealed there had not been any actual abduction attempt.

The police department offered thanks to the Hudson School District for alerting parents to the incident.
