Mums In Minnesota Abuzz Over Di Exhibit

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- As Mall of America is set to open "Diana: A Celebration," there is one group of ladies more excited to see the exhibit than perhaps anyone else.

About once a month, this group of ladies from the United Kingdom who now live in Minnesota get together for dinner, a movie, or a concert. The meeting always centers on something British.

"We've become very patriotic since we don't live in (England)," said Mums in Minnesota founder Suzy Watson.

Founded in 2007, the group has since grown to 36 members.

"I've looked and looked to try and find British mums for many, many years after living in the States," said Donna Daniel.

When the Mums in Minnesota heard about the Princess Di Exhibit coming to the Twin Cities, they couldn't wait to see the tribute to her life.

They were even more excited to learn a special tour was set up for the group a day before the exhibit opened to the public.

"I can't wait to see it," said Linda Rein about seeing Princess Di's wedding dress, the prized piece of the exhibit.
