MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Twin Cities neighborhood is safe after a Facebook post led to a seven-hour standoff Monday.
It all started just after 2 p.m. in Roseville on a home on County Road C2 near Western Avenue.
Police were called when a man threatened to kill himself on Facebook.
When officers moved in they say a 23-year-old had a gun, and they backed out. Nearby families were told to stay inside.
Just after 9 p.m. SWAT members used tear gas to get the man out. The man is in Regions Hospital and will receive mental health help.
