Girl Scout Store Opens At Mall Of America
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- You may not think of going to the Mall of America if you're craving the taste of Thin Mints and Somoas, but a Girl Scout store is opening there on Thursday.
The store will sell Scout memorabilia, like patches, t-shirts, mugs, pens and even earrings.
They'll also be selling Girl Scout Cookies, but not until troops in Minnesota get first dibs at selling cookies door-to-door.
The girls start their cookie sales this weekend. The Mall of America store will start selling cookies on Feb. 20.
The store is a temporary pop-up, open through March 11.
That's when 50,000 Girl Scouts will invade the Mall of America for the Great Girl Gathering to celebrate the organization's 100th birthday.
