Alleged 'Man In Black' Indicted For 13 Bank Robberies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man who authorities believe may be the serial bank robber nicknamed "Man In Black" has been indicted in federal court.

On Thursday afternoon, Mark Edward Wetch, 49, was charged with 13 counts of armed bank robbery in connection to 13 bank robberies between March 9, 2011 and Jan. 3, 2012.

His indictment alleges that Wetsch robbed a bank in Brewster, Alexandria, Hastings, St. Peter, Albertville, Richfield, Gaylord, Hampton, Faribault, Eden Prairie, Cologne and two in Minneapolis.

The amount Wetsch allegedly stole is said to be approximately $69,104.

If convicted, Wetsch could face up to 25 years in prison for each count.
