Authorities: Woman Stole Identities To Get Pain Killers

PINE CITY (WCCO) -- A 29-year-old Rutledge woman has been arrested for allegedly using the identities of several people to fill fraudulent prescriptions.

According the Pine County Sheriff's Office, on Jan. 5, 2012, deputies responded to the Wal-Mart store in Pine City in response to a complaint of fraudulent prescriptions.

An investigation revealed the person used the identities to fill the prescriptions six times between Nov. 7, 2011 and Jan. 3, 2012, according to the Sheriff's Office. The prescriptions totaled approximately 720 tablets of Hydrocodone, which is a narcotic drug. Each tablet has a street value of around $10.

The Sheriff's Office said Bobbie Jo Hanson was charged in Pine County District Court with six counts of second-degree possession of narcotics and one count of identity theft.

Hanson's bail has been set at $20,000 with conditions and $50,000 without condition.
